Considered to be one of the first Departments of the University, and was founded in 1931 under the name of “Botany and physiology of plants” and then in 1938 department was divided into two parts: Botany plant physiology and Microbiology. In 1988 at the Department of Botany was established the Department of Botany and Agricultural ecology.

Department of Constructional Mechanics and Hydraulics was founded in 1968. The first head of the Department was candidate of physic - mathematical Sciences Rakhimov X. From the beginning of 2014 the Head of the Department is candidate of technical Sciences Sattorov Sh. Nowadays the Department has doctor of technical Sciences Professor Komilov O. PhD- associate Professor is Kholov D, Rahimov F, Sattorov Sh, senior teachers of Marozikov K, ZaripovS, assistants  Madgoziev U, Olimov K And Rajabov I. Department of “Crop Production"

The Department of Crop Production's main function is to provide technical services to farmers and general public in order to improve agricultural productivity and efficiency and thus improving people's living standards. Crop production subject as a separate science began to be studied in the Department of "General agriculture" in 1934, and in 1940 was part of the Department of Crops, cotton, breeding and seed production".

Department «Philosophy and Political Science»

 

"Philosophy and Political Science" department is the same age as the university and formed a part of the Department "Social Sciences". In 1968, the Department became independent. The first head was Associate Professor Odilov N.F Since 2000, the head of the department is Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Idiev H.U.

Department “Crop and fodder production”

The Department of Crop and fodder production one of the oldest departments in the University. It is based since its Foundation in 1931.  The goal of the subject is to acquire knowledge, skills and competencies in the area of forage crops cultivation and production in areas with climate of central Europe. The issue of permanent grasslands (meadows and pastures) will be shortly introduced.
